Autumn is back in Pittsburgh! It's time to get out and enjoy those brilliant colored leaves, pick a giant pumpkin and hop on one of those spooky hayrides that are now rolling through our local farms. Check out these top orchards, farmsteads and farmers markets that know how to celebrate the fall season in Pittsburgh right!
Soergel Orchards is in the North Hills of Pittsburgh in Wexford, PA. The autumn season begins with the fall harvest festival. The festival at Soergels is a great family friendly event and takes place on weekends in September and October. The sights, smells and sounds of the fall festival completely envelope visitors making for a true autumn farmstead experience. Parents and children alike will enjoy all there is to do at the orchard during fall festival time.

Pick Your Own
Apple picking starts in September.
Pumpkin harvest begins in October. Enjoy a tractor ride into the fields and find that perfect jack-o-lantern pumpkin for Halloween. Kids and adults alike will enjoy this timeless classic harvest ritual.
Simmons Farm is located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh in McMurray, PA and offers seasonal pick your own apples and pumpkins. Fall activities begin in mid-September and wrap up in the first week of November.
The annual Fall Festival on our 150-year-old farm is a tradition for many families in the South Hills and greater Pittsburgh area. There’s something for everyone from grandparents to grandkids. Enjoy a hayride to our pumpkin patch to pick-your-own pumpkin or see if you can find your way through our giant, 3-acre corn maze! Pumpkins are not included in the ticket price.

Janoski's Farm and Greenhouse features "Our Own Home-Grown" produce. We are a family owned and operated farm specializing in home grown, fresh produce and all of your top of the line gardening needs. Janoski's Farm and Greenhouse has been in the vegetable farming business since 1890. Janoski's Pumpkinland celebrates the fall season with a haunted barn, corn maze, pumpkin patch, pony rides, petting zoo, pumpkin painting and much more.

Bring the whole family and celebrate the fall season with our annual Pumpkinland located behind the Farm Market. Take a walk to the pumpkin patch (pumpkins are sold seperately for $.50/lb), enjoy the scenic hayride (optional), corn maze, haunted barn, pony rides (children only), petting zoo, pedal bikes & more. Feel free to pack a lunch or visit the food vendors available.
