Join the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh on Tuesday, September 19 at the Rivers Club, Downtown Pittsburgh, PA for a free, interactive panel discussion featuring George Beebe, Director of Grand Strategy at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. George Beebe has over two decades of experience as an intelligence analyst, diplomat, and policy advisor, including as director of the CIA’s Russia analysis, director of the CIA’s Open Source Center, and as a staff advisor on Russia matters to Vice President Cheney. George will join our panel of experts to discuss possible diplomatic solutions to the war in Ukraine and what role the U.S. should play in the conflict. There will be a curated exhibit by Pittsburgh photojournalist Maranie R. Staab from her time on the ground in Ukraine to further bring to life the human experience and toll of the conflict. Be sure to arrive early to take in these powerful images and connect with one another. Doors open at 5PM, and the program will be from 6-7PM. Refreshments will be provided.
