Kick off the fall season with some outdoor fun at The Waterfront! Fall Fest attendees will be treated to a complimentary pumpkin patch, musical performances by House of Soul and a host of free activities including face painting, balloon twisting, and art activities held by Paint Monkey. Donations will be collected throughout the event to benefit Humane Animal Rescue. 1-5 p.m. Fall Fest activities 1 p.m. The Great Pup-Kin Race participant check-in 2-3 p.m. The Great Pup-Kin Race dog race 3:30-5 p.m. House of Soul takes the stage PLUS, Pittsburgh’s premier puppy showdown is back this year with The Great Pup-Kin Race. Oktoberfest, a Pittsburgh Symphony Association (PSA) fundraiser held on October 3, 2019, will be an evening of authentic German food, exclusive German beers and bingo benefitting the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Attendees get access to the historic Teutonia Männerchor, the members-only Club on the North Side. The $75 ticket includes a buffet of authentic German cuisine and one drink ticket for wine, beer or a mixed drink. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Entertainment will feature bingo, a strolling accordion player, 50\/50 raffle and silent auction. This special event is limited to 140 persons. (2.75 miles; Easy to Moderate Difficulty Rating) Park at Watt’s Mill Trail head along Beaver Creek, 478 Watt’s Mill Road, Darlington, PA 16115, Access Watt’s Mill Rd via Route 251. This hike will be an out and back to the Indian Rock spur trail head. *If you wish to climb the spur trail to view Indian Rock and the scenic overlook, be prepared for a challenging climb on a switch back to the top of the hill. (This section is not part of the NCT) Pumpkin Pie and cider will be served after the hike at Watt’s Mill. Donations accepted. Wampum NCTA strongly suggests wearing sturdy footwear on all of our hosted hikes along with dressing appropriately for the weather, wearing removable layers. Please bring a personal snack, sports drink and\/or bottle of water for personal use. Dogs permitted on leash only, unless otherwise stated.
