Walking for thirty minutes every day in nature is linked to lowered blood pressure, elevated moods, and reduced cases of heart disease. Get fit and active on the trails around the Frick Environmental Center. All are welcome, and hike pace is determined by the hike leader based on the group. This hike is designed for park pals ages 50+. It\'s not designed to be strenuous, but Pittsburgh is a hilly place so there will be some ups and downs. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Third Friday Fitness Hike is made possible with the generous support of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation.

Auditions for Children's Play Heidi at Carnegie Performing Arts Center

The Carnegie Performing Arts Center is holding auditions on Saturday, February 16, for the children\'s play Heidi, based on the story by Johanna Spyri. Performances will be at the Andrew Carnegie Music Hall in April with rehearsals taking place on Saturday mornings. Ages 5 - 12 are invited to audition at 10 a.m., ages 13 and up are invited to audition at 11 a.m. at the studios of the Carnegie Performing Arts Center located at 150 East Main Street in Carnegie.
