Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Presents Dracula10/27/2017 - 10/29/2017 Benedum Center for the Performing Arts, 237 7th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Over Halloween weekend, PBT brings back the deliciously spine-chilling Dracula, based on Bram Stoker’s 1897 gothic novel – the original vampire drama. Dissatisfied with his bevy of undead brides, Count Dracula fixates on Svetlana, a young girl on the cusp of engagement, to satiate his thirst for fresh blood. A haunting score by Franz Liszt builds suspense while scenic designer Thomas Boyd’s fastidious studies of Balkan and Romanian architecture add authenticity to the 19th-century Transylvanian setting. The dancing also has teeth, with levitation, flying and pyrotechnics that make the choreography even more climactic. At the time of its premiere, the New York Times described it as a “spectacle of an order ballet audiences seldom see today.”

Are you ready for another 1337 style halloween? Boosegumps : Camp Quarantine "The weekend started out like any other festival. Friends outside camping, loud music and laughter filled the night air. There\'s a rumor going around that some of the campers ate rancid food and fell ill... As you walk through the campgrounds, something doesn\'t seem right. The smell of campfires is overpowered by the stench of rotting flesh and everyone is doing some sort of weird stumble instead of dancing. Suddenly, you notice your best friend snacking on a member of the hazmat team and you realize, you have to run for your life. Welcome to Camp Quarantine. " We are very proud to announce that our theme this year will be Zombies. This will not be a camping event, but it will be decorated like a festival infested with zombies.
